Who is it for?

Workshops are tailored according to the needs of those taking part! So it’s for anyone looking to improvise their presentations skills or who wants to refresh and learn new techniques. 

Why Comedy?

Jack has devised unique training that transfers the same skills Jack used in successfully training thousands of comedians and actors across to business. From working with comedians and business people Jack has acquired a unique insight into how an individual communicates, to understand what might be getting in the way of their communication and how they can put their best selves across so that we “get them” and really listen to their story. Feedback from clients such as Innovia, GLA, AIG and Pru Health suggests that our training is certainly faster and possibly more effective than any other out there. Its also of course a lot fun!

 

Our Goal:

To raise confidence; hone skills to provide an insightful, successful and rewarding training experience so that presenters can go on and replicate the skills learnt on the day forever. His workshops are devised to bring out the best in the individual, the best in you rather than creating derivative clone presentations.

 

Why Jack’s training is different

Transferring communication skills from comedy to the business environment, using humour as a teaching tool. This is about using skills from the hardest communication business in the world (comedy) and making them work in your business environment. However, it is Jack’s one to one feedback and individual assessment that sets him apart; understanding how a person works to ensure they fulfil their potential as presenters and make presentations that are human, authentic, clear, precise and engaging.

Training Method:

Participate, with delegate and tutor feedback, in fun practical exercises, learning new skills and in some cases revolutionary techniques in getting your message across to your audience.

All trainees present in a dress rehearsal of a real presentation or pitches with tutor and peer feedback. Everyone attending presents at least 2-3 times during the day with personal feedback and suggestions on how they can make improvements in their pitching and presentations.

So what’s a day actually contain?

Ideas and the audience.

• Dealing with nerves.

• How to put together a great presentation.

• First impressions.

• Body language and making a great first impression.

• What does your audience want to hear?

• Grabbing an audience and clarity. Making your presentation and pitch accessible.

• Six simple steps to making your content stand out from the crowd.

The conversation.

• Passion.

• The conversation - being in the moment. A key element of Jack’s training.

• The “when, why and how” of PowerPoint. “When it’s used badly it’s like watching someone stand next to your TV and talk to you about the programme you’re trying to watch.”

• Present Yourself. A dress rehearsal of real life pitch or presentation with individually tailored tutor feedback. Trainees complete a 3-5 minute presentation utilising skills learnt through the day with one to one feedback. Jack always ensures that you will present with one to one feedback on at least two occasions during the day.

• The great finish. All trainees are provided with detailed Support Notes.
